The “Black Box” International Chamber Theatre Festival is held each year from May 31 to June 10 in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The festival presents original, challenging Bulgarian and international chamber plays, monodramas and dance performances, in addition to organizing seminars and workshops.
Artists from Bulgaria, Germany, Israel, Brazil, Iran, Switzerland, Colombia, Greece, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Canada and Spain have taken part in the festival over the years.
The “Black Box” ICTF is organized by the Black Box Foundation, in partnership with the Municipality of Plovdiv, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, the National Culture Fund, and the Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute. Bulgaria’s foreign embassies and cultural institutes also play an active role in co-organizing the event.
The “Black Box” ICTF is on the official cultural calendars of the Ministry of Culture and Municipality of Plovdiv.
